The first group of tourists arrived in Rize on a Turkish Airlines flight from Bahrain, carrying 151 passengers and 4 crew members, and landed at Rize-Artvin Airport at 06:57.
These flights are scheduled twice a week, thanks to efforts by the Governor’s Office and Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş. This initiative aims to attract more visitors from the Middle East to Rize, enhancing the region’s tourism appeal.
The Governor’s Office expressed optimism about the positive impact of these charter flights on the local economy. The new connection is expected to bring more tourists to experience the natural beauty and cultural richness of Rize.
