Starting from 23 June 2022, Jazeera Airways is operating direct flights between Kuwait and Vienna for the very first time.
The airline will take off from its home base at Kuwait Airport twice per week and head to Vienna. For the time being, the new route will be served on Mondays and Thursdays by an Airbus A320neo on a seasonal basis until September. The new flight connection was officially inaugurated today within the context of a photo session featuring Sadiq M. Marafi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, Andrew Ward, Vice President Marketing & Customer Experience of Jazeera Airways and Carolin Drott, Aviation Development of Vienna Airport.
“Flight connections between Vienna and the Middle East enjoy great popularity throughout the entire year. Passenger volumes to this region at the present time are now even close to the pre-crisis level. With Jazeera Airways, a new carrier is now represented in Vienna offering even more travel options, particularly to Kuwait. We are very pleased to have the new airline in Vienna and would like to warmly welcome Jazeera Airways!”, explains Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.
Jazeera Airways CEO, Rohit Ramachandran, said: “We are very excited to be launching this new twice weekly service to Vienna for the summer season, giving our customers more choice to enjoy a vacation filled with activities and cultural experiences with family or friends. Demand inn Kuwait for unique tourist destinations is very high following two years of travel restrictions. We look forward to welcoming customers on board these new flights.”
Two weekly flights from Vienna to Kuwait
The new flight connection operated by Jazeera Airways will be offered on a seasonal basis for the time being. A comfortable A320neo will take off twice per week until September from Vienna to Kuwait, namely on Mondays and Thursdays. Kuwait is located on the northwest corner of the Persian Gulf and is a popular travel destination throughout the year thanks to its typical desert climate and little rain. In Kuwait, the capital city of the same name, visitors can discover the impressive skyscrapers and buildings as well as traditional Arab souks.
Jazeera Airways – a separate departure terminal at Kuwait Airport
