Jazeera Airways, the first non-government owned airline in the Middle East, resumed its services to Istanbul, Turkey.
The airline suspended its Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen flights on March 28, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The carrier resumed its domestic flights on June 1st and international flights on June 12th.
Jazeera Airways, which owns and operates its own terminal at Kuwait International Airport – Terminal 5 (T5), resumed its flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) on Saturday, August 15, 2020. The Jazeera Airways aircraft carrying on its board 116 passengers received a warm welcome with a symbolic water cannon salute upon its arrival.
Jazeera Airways will fly between Kuwait and Istanbul three times in a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Established in April 2004, Jazeera Airways is continuing to be one of the few Middle East-based private airlines to this day.
Jazeera Airways serves 30 destinations operating a reliable fleet of Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft – all fitted with our signature leather seats and two or three class cabins. In June 2018, Jazeera was the first airline in the Middle East to introduce the A320neo into its fleet.
The airline offers the unique Park & Fly service at Kuwait International Airport, where you can valet your car, check-in and take a shuttle right to the departure area.

On board, passengers can watch the complimentary Jazeera Screens in-flight entertainment and purchase from a wide variety of food and drink options from the Jazeera Café menu. Passengers can upgrade their seat selection to either Priority Seats (Rows 4-6) with 31-inch seat pitch which allow priority boarding, Preferred Seats (Rows 7-10) with 31-inch seat pitch or XL/Extra Legroom Seats (Rows 11-12) with 36-inch seat pitch.
