flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, announced the addition of a new route to its ever-expanding network.
Starting November 1, 2023, the carrier will operate flights to Volgograd in Russia. This twice-weekly service will connect Dubai with Volgograd International Airport (VOG) and offer more travel convenience for passengers traveling between Russia and Dubai.
Service To Improve Connectivity
Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, expressed enthusiasm about the new route. “With the start of our twice-weekly service to Volgograd in November, flydubai will enable more passengers to travel conveniently to Dubai from different points across Russia,” he said.
This new service will also offer easier connections through Dubai’s aviation hub for passengers eager to explore popular holiday destinations. “These include the Maldives, Mombasa, Oman, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Zanzibar,” Efendi added.
Expanding Network and Fleet
flydubai has been on a trajectory of rapid expansion, now serving more than 115 destinations in 53 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. With a young and efficient fleet of 79 Boeing 737 aircraft, the airline promises passengers a convenient and enjoyable travel experience. Business Class travelers, in particular, can expect added space and comfort as well as internationally-inspired menus and a wide range of inflight entertainment.
Flight Details and Codeshare Agreement
The flights will operate from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) to Volgograd International Airport (VOG) on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Return flights from Volgograd to Dubai will operate on Thursdays and Sundays. In a bid to offer even more options to travelers, Emirates will codeshare on this new route.
Pricing Information
Return Business Class fares for the route start at AED 11,055, while Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 3,100.
The introduction of the new route to Volgograd further underscores flydubai’s commitment to providing increased connectivity through Dubai and offering more travel options to passengers across its global network.
