In a landmark celebration of Warner Bros. Studios’ 100th anniversary, Emirates is set to elevate its in-flight entertainment offering by introducing an exclusive collection of 100 films. This unparalleled initiative will be available from 1 September 2023 on the airline’s award-winning entertainment system, ice.
Emirates takes the lead in the skies by being the foremost airline to commemorate Warner Bros.’ monumental centenary with such a curated capsule. This new collection will complement Emirates’ already extensive content selection on ice, which encompasses over 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment in 40 languages, including 45 Academy Award® winning films, more than 2,000 movies, 650 TV series, and a staggering 4,000 hours dedicated to music, podcasts, and audiobooks.
Passengers aboard Emirates flights will be able to immerse themselves in the Warner Bros. universe, traversing the timeline from treasured classics like “Casablanca” and “The Wizard of Oz” to contemporary hits such as “Dune” and “Elvis.”
An exciting addition to this collection is the “100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS.” series, which consists of four Max Original documentary specials. Narrated by the iconic voice of Morgan Freeman, these documentaries delve into the studio’s rich history, from its inception by four immigrant brothers in the 1920s to its evolution into an entertainment behemoth by the 2000s. Renowned personalities like Martin Scorsese, Oprah Winfrey, Clint Eastwood, and many others contribute with interviews, offering insights into the transformative impact of Warner Bros. on global entertainment.
To further whet the appetite of movie aficionados, here’s a sampling of the Warner Bros. 100 Year Collection to be featured on Emirates:
Earliest endeavors: Includes gems like “The Wizard of Oz (1939)” and “Gone with the Wind (1939).”
