A new study has revealed TikTok’s favorite travel destinations of 2022 and two cities in the top 10 are from the Middle East.
Bounce analysed the view counts of popular travel destination hashtags to reveal the most popular destinations on TikTok, as well the biggest influencers on the app and their earnings.
Taking this year’s top spot is the city of Dubai, usurping first place from New York City, which ranked first in 2021’s index. Well known for its wealth and luxury, Dubai is one of the most sought-after destinations for holidaymakers wanting to soak up the sun.
In second place is New York City. New York is famous for being a melting pot of different cultures, with a distinctive identity as a hotbed of creativity and diversity. Travellers are spoilt for choice with options like Broadway shows, climbing the Empire State or visiting the statue of liberty!
In third place is London! The UK’s capital is one of the most iconic cities in the world, boasting an endless list of must-see tourist attractions. Not only is the hotspot well known for its brilliant museums and galleries, but it’s also home to some of the best nightlife you can find.
